This after-hours program highlights the wonders of Texas Deep Time—hundreds, thousands, and millions of years of discovery.
Uncover the wonders that lie beneath the Texas landscapes with a social evening of science, art, and exploration at Cocktails & Culture: Witte Watercolors. From the search for the Battle of Medina to newly discovered mosasaurs from Bexar County and dinosaur fossils from Big Bend National Park, join Dr. Thomas Adams, Head Curator of the Witte Museum, and Vertebrate Paleontologist, as he shares stories of some of the Witte’s greatest finds.
Following a guided gallery experience, you will participate in a hands-on watercolor session with featured artist Alicia McAllen. Inspired by Texas fossils, you’ll create your own original piece in a relaxed, social setting.
Your ticket includes guided gallery access, light bites and drinks, and all materials needed to complete your watercolor painting.
