Unwrap all the layers of cultural food traditions across Texas and discover the history of your favorite local recipes at Cocktails & Culture: Witte Watercolors. Whether it’s desserts, drinks, or dinner, Texans have always had a rich and delicious history of food. Join Dr. Nalelli Guillen, curator of Gather Round the Table: Texas Food Traditions and Vice President of Interpretation, as she shares slices of Texas history and the many cultures that sit at the table.
Following a guided gallery experience, you will participate in a hands-on watercolor session with featured artist Alicia McAllen. Inspired by traditional Texas food ways, you’ll create your own original piece in a relaxed, social setting.
Your ticket includes guided gallery access, light bites and drinks, and all materials needed to complete your watercolor painting.
